How and Why It Works
Cambrian’s kelp is processed using a different technology than that of its competitors. This production method provides highly-effective, Ecklonia base product materials suitable for a wide variety of applications and markets. Cambrian requires fresh kelp fronds of Ecklonia maxima to be hand selected and processed within hours after harvesting with a unique, ambient temperature, mechanical juicing or cell burst process. This mechanical cell burst process releases and concentrates the kelp’s cytoplasm (juice) resulting in a totally natural, liquid kelp concentrate. By utilizing this natural kelp cytoplasm, Cambrian produces products of exceptional value and effectiveness.
In contrast, Cambrian’s competitors in kelp processing generally tend to destroy the kelp’s complex organic vitamins, amino acids, enzymes, and gels by heat and other harsh processing methods such as hydrolyses or chemical digestion, freezing or dehydration. Cambrian’s kelp materials, processed by its mechanical juicing technology avoid these harsh processing methods. This enables the nutritional components contained in the resulting liquid kelp cytoplasm to retain their natural shape and biological activity. These retained organic compounds are directly responsible for the functionality and effectiveness of Cambrian’s health and beauty aid, agricultural and other products.
